Works great with Windows XP. It's an easy to use program. The calendars are easier to create than in Calendar Creator. There's a great deal you CAN do in this program. I've used PM for a while. I don't mind not having all their graphics on my computer as I have my own that I use. It's not going to do fancy things like Paint Shop Pro but you can create something in PSP, save to your computer and use in PM.
When I tried to contact customer service, they will only work with installation issues. I guess 18 is my new set of coasters and I will not buy another product from Broderbund or Encore. 18 says my hard drive is full or write protected when I try to import a tab delimited file. I maintain my address list in Excel. Had several editions through the years. I have used Printmaster for over 20 years. My main disgust is importing address list. I have over 60G of space and it is not write protected.
This program is easy to use and has the features I need to make cards I'm proud of. Thank you, Broderbund. (I was very carefully advised that the NEWEST version, PrintMaster 2.0, would NOT work - so I got exactly what I needed instead of just one more disapointment). as well as create new ones.with PrintMaster 18. When I got a new computer with Vista 64-bit on it, the program no longer worked, and I was DESOLATE at losing all my cards. My CreataCard program was wonderful and I had a folder full of saved files that were very dear to my heart. Thanks to some WONDERFUL tech support advice, I am now able not only to VIEW my saved cards but also EDIT them. There are a lot of "available online" files in the PrintMaster 18 Art gallery, but with my high-speed Internet connection, that is no problem at all - and you only have to download a graphic once to have it available in the gallery offline.
I purchased this to use at my office and unfortunately though my computer suits me just fine it must be antiquated as it does not have a DVD drive and this printmaster requires one. This is my 3rd Printshop purchase and I wanted to upgrade. Guess I missed those specifications in the description.
The company from which I retired was a government funded teaching organization. We purchased a Printmaster program many years ago for the artwork and design ability for all our needs.
I am a huge fan. After retirement, I wanted to be able to do that at home.
I was still using that same program when I retired and it was still helping me to create beautiful designs. I cannot calculate how many hundreds of dollars I save in greeting cards alone with this system.
I retired from a job on July 31, 2009. In my position, I created hundreds of fliers, newsletters, programs, and cards.
I purchased the newer version and am now happily creating in my home.
